1 package chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
3 eggs
1 1/3 cup water
1 cup Miracle Whip
Add remaining ingredients.
Beat until blended.
Beat until blended.
Bake 30-40 minutes or until done.
Frost as desired.
Instead of unsweetened cocoa I used baking cocoa because I already had some in the pantry. I doubt it made a difference. Also, I sprinkled chocolate chips in the batter because Stephen's obsessed with chocolate.
What I'll do differently next time:
There probably won't be a next time. I thought it came out rather dry, although Stephen didn't think so. I feel like it would be just as easy to use a cake mix in a box and it would taste just as good, not that this recipe was any trouble to make. But it definitely wasn't "heavenly" as the recipe title suggests.
Verdict: Neutral.

Have you ever tried dump cake? I never had it until I made it a couple weeks ago (I'm making it for a bbq this weekend) and its like so good! You can use any fruit combination and cake mix but this is what I used.
1 can crushed pineapple (about 20 oz)
1 can cherry pie filling (about 20 oz)
1 yellow cake mix
1 1/2 sticks of butter
In a greased 13x9 pan pour evenly in crushed pineapple (juice and all). Over the pineapple spread evenly the cherry pie filling. The sprinkle the cake mix evenly over top of the fruit (yes just a dry cake mix I thought this was really weird LOL). Then slice the butter over the cake mix evenly (this is important otherwise you'll get dry spots). The cook at 350 degrees for about 60 min.
(I'm trying 2 cans of strawberry pie filling with chocolate cake this weekend)
