1 Tbsp cinnamon
3 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sour milk or buttermilk (to make sour milk, add 1 Tbsp vinegar or lemon juice to milk)
In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and brown sugar together and set aside. In large bowl, cream butter; beat in sugar to make a light and fluffy batter.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Stir into butter mixture in 3 additions, alternating with 2 additions of sour milk. Spoon half the batter into a greased and floured loaf pan.

Sprinkle with 3/4 of the cinnamon mixture, then cover with the remaining batter and remaining cinnamon mixture.
What I did differently from the recipe:
I did a ratio for the cinnamon/sugar mixture of 1 tsp to 3 tsp instead of using a tablespoon, because I thought that would be too much.
What I'll do differently next time:
I'll probably do the cinnamon mixture with tablespoons instead of teaspoons. I think it would have made for a stronger taste in the middle of the bread when it was done, and I just didn't put enough in there to be able to fully taste it.
